The importance of a Critique

To the photographer:

When you are given difference prospectives of your work, you are able to see what you as an artist may need to work on. Any feedback is good, be it positive or negative.

To the viewer:

The viewer is able to get an inside prospective of what you were trying to get across with your images.

To the Image:

If the image is sloppy or has mistakes you might have over looked. It is important to listen to what is being said.

Didn't receive a handout.

I think critiques are a great tool to better ones work. When receiving a negative feedback, that gives you a better idea of how to set up your work. With a positive one then you know that you are getting your message across to your viewers. With this essential it also lets you the photographer to see your work from a different perspective.
